A Word from The Founder

It fills me with immense pride when I look at the many outstanding achievements of Acmar International thus far.

When I first arrived in Malaysia way back in 1938, my principal trade was in rubber products and copra because the country at that time thrived on an agricultural-based economy. With my small profits, I bought land to plant rubber and coconut trees and subsequent profits were further invested in coconut, rubber and oil palm plantations.

In the 70s, Malaysia began its transition from an agricultural-based economy to an industrialized one. That was when I decided to send my sons to work in the automotive industry to acquire the skills and experience necessary to thrive in the business world. I treasure my sons' enthusiasm for the need to diversify our business interests. Now our Group has ventured into construction and property development among other things.

Today, Acmar International's board of directors consists of business entrepreneurs of various disciplines and the Group's interests have grown to include a range of diversified businesses in the automotive industry, property development, construction, trading and manufacturing, not forgetting the leisure and education sectors.

We also initiated international business ventures in China where we are focusing on property development and trading activities. In addition to this, our manufactured goods are exported to countries throughout South-East-Asia, South America and the Middle East.

I am proud of all our achievements. I have been blessed with committed and dedicated people all the way. In all our areas of diversification, our endeavours have met with success. We are regarded highly by our peers and customers for our professionalism in whatever we venture into and for forging strong partnerships that have stood the test of time. Now, we are making our presence felt in China and we hope to be universally acknowledged in time.

Together with my people, we have come a long way. My Vision is to see Acmar International grow even bigger and be even more far-reaching in our international business ventures. The world is changing fast and we have to look beyond today to keep abreast of all the latest developments. If we stay focused on our Vision, Target and Commitment, we will surely reach the pinnacle of success.
